Scotland Day 1

As most of you know, I went to Scotland at the beginning of the month. A group of local churches in Inverclyde invited our church, Times Square Church, to participate in a conference and outreaches in that area. Homebase was Greenock! It was to-ta-lly AWESOME! What made the biggest impression on me was the pure hunger in people’s hearts for God. The living God. Not for religion–but for God Himself. After so many years of a “god is dead” mentality, followed by many hard years (depression, alcoholism, drug addiction, suicide, and general hopelessness), there’s now an awakening to a fundamental need for a relationship with God. What joy! What bursting forth! What LIFE! Here are just a very few images that I took from that place. Much love to the people of Scotland.
