Film Me! Film Thee! FILM!
HEY! After some soul searching and just missing film, (F100, Contax 645, Toy Holgas) I’ll be adding a few rolls of film to my wedding coverage. I’m looking forward to returning to my roots. Well, sort of–I’m still shooting 90-95% of the wedding day digitally, but…….. I so miss film! I started shooting with film when I was 13 years old. In High School I learned how to develop B+W film. Suddenly I was wild about taking pictures of everyone and everywhere from that day forward. When I started my business in 2004 I had no plans to switch to digital. I was a loyalist. My family and friends tried to talk me into at least TRYING digital. I said “No.” I was a loyalist. So then, in 2003 for my birthday, my family got me a really nice digital camera and I decided to see what it could do…….. I was shocked to discover that it could do a LOT!! Though different than film, it had it’s own unique strengths. Well, I continued to shoot film exclusively at weddings until 2005. Then I shot a combination of both film and digital in 2005, 2006, and 2007. I’ve still been shooting film for personal work but my last roll of film shot at a wedding was in March 2007. Natalie and Corey’s wedding to be exact.
More about them later! I promise! ![]()
So here are a few oldie but goodies that were shot with film from 2004, 2005, 2006, and 2007…… Enjoy!
PS: If you’re looking for a wedding photographer and you are a film loyalist, contact me to discuss rates, etc.
