07.16.08 Beverley + Eric Engaged

This was sure fun! I became friends with Beverley right around the time she became friends with Eric. And now they’re engaged! Exciting!! We went to Hoboken where the two of them have done some hanging out. I really enjoyed the tranquility and view from the waterfront. These are a few of my favorites!

Wedding Celebration at Bubby’s Pie Company

This was a fun celebration! These two had moved to San Francisco away from their NYC friends and got married there. But today was the celebration bringing together all their friends and family. Family and others traveled from Spain, England, Venezuela, Finland, other parts of the states–but of COURSE there were plenty of solid Brooklynites ;-) The celebration was at Bubby’s Pie Company DUMBO which gave us plenty of great portrait opportunities before all the guests arrived. Everything looked elegant without a “fussy”, overdone tone. A bit like the French….. Here are some of my favorites!

Wedding at Times Square Church

07.05.08 Sharene + Harry

Here comes his bride! It was a totally awesome day for me! I photographed Harry’s brother’s wedding four years ago and have gotten to know their family ever since. Sharene and Harry each spoke during the reception about what took place leading up to them getting together. It was so thrilling to hear how each one in simple faith and obedience allowed the Lord to work everything out. It would NOT be Harry’s wedding if there weren’t a few hilarious moments thrown in! But underneath all the laughter was a deep sense of peace and joy in knowing that Jesus is both the Author and the Finisher of this relationship. Amen!! :-)
The wedding and reception was at Times Square Church. And afterward (after the rain!!) we went to the Conservatory Garden.
Enjoy……

Once again, a shout out to Mercy Me for letting me use their song “Spoken For”.

Wedding at Maetro’s

06.29.08 Nathalee + Dexter

After much prayer and waiting on The Lord, Nathalee and Dexter became husband and wife. So this was a really exciting day! A first for me: I got to chauffeur the bride and groom around for a few minutes! I had the honor of driving Nathalee and Dexter to the church! It was fun. Our Plan A portrait time in Central Park got rained on (heavy, heavy thunderstorm) but we found other cool ways to capture their love on film. Another first: LONGEST EVER wedding ceremony kiss! It was about 10 minutes eh-hem, I mean 10 seconds. ;-) But that’s a long time for most weddings. Cool moment: Nathalee’s parents dancing to Stevie Wonder’s “Ma Cherie Amour”. Nathalee’s Dad looked like he was ready to marry his wife all over again. How cool is that?!
Everyone got dressed at Nathalee’s parent’s house. The wedding was at their church, Ephesus Seventh Day Adventist Church. And the Reception was at Maestro’s. All wedding planning done by Tye Roberts of Especially For Your Planners (awesome job once AGAIN!!)
Anyway here are a few of my favorites.

“I left my heart in San Francisco…..”

But these guys must have left their hearts in New York. They moved out to SF last year but are here to celebrate their wedding. (Shhhh! Don’t tell anyone but they already got married out there!) Actually everybody already knows but this will be everyone’s chance to get all dressed up and excited about it. They used to live in Williamsburg so we went there early in the morning for these portraits. Here are a few of my favorites!

Wedding at 202 East

06.28.08 Natalia + Angel

Yea! The day has finally arrived! This may prove to be the wedding of the decade! With much anticipation Angel married the love of his life Natalia. It was a joyous occasion for EVERYONE! These guys have made a HUGE WONDERFUL impact on many people. I loved Natalia’s hot pink heels! (the exact color of my iPod Nano). NEW RECORD: people went back for 2-3 helpings of the most delicious wedding cake! (baked by my assistant Jen’s sister Cat–the pastry chef). Anyway, it was just a really sweet and tender day–all the way through. The wedding was at Times Square Church and the reception at 202 East.
Shower’s of The Lord’s blessings on you two!
xoxo,

for Natalia, one wedding ring was not enough…… :-)

Here is their slideshow. The extra blessing is that their good friend Marc composed and performed this piece of music. The music is on “extended play” so just sit back and enjoy it–”Mi Sanidad” (My Healing) by Marc Hogi.
