Risking Identity

Wedding at The Chart House

09.01.07 Debbie + Bernard

Debbie and Bernard got married at Chart House, a beautiful setting right on the Hudson River. Everyone was upbeat and in a celebratory mood–Debbie leading the way! I really liked the color palette–brown dresses with white and pink flowers for the ‘maids. They too had cupcakes in lieu of a big wedding cake. This is definitely a major trend…….. (aren’t cupcakes more fun anyway?) It was cool seeing their Haitian and Ghanaian cultures come together for the ceremony and the reception. But since Debbie and Bernard grew up together it’s more like they come from another country of their own…… :-)Here are some of my favorites from the day!
