Hangin’ with Miss Lisa (and Mr. Ray)

These two just got married (stay tuned for a few teasers later this week!). But a few weeks ago I went with them to see the church and reception venue. It was a lot of fun! First we pick up Lisa who just got her hair done as the practice before the wedding. Then we go to the church where Ray grew up. After that we pick up one of the groomsmen and then to the reception venue.

Behind Ray is the window that they hoisted me up to! I’m not kidding! Ray learned how to carry a wounded soldier in the military somehow creating a “seat” with two peoples’ arms. So using that maneuver they hoisted me up to this window but I still couldn’t see inside (too bright outside and too dim inside). But I was able to get a good peak through the mail slot on the front door.

Because we were all wearing shoes like these–flip flops–we were denied service at a restaurant I won’t mention here by name.

This is Lisa, Ray, and their good friend and groomsman Ian. We think we’ll take a photograph on this staircase on the wedding day. But did we? Hmmmm……..

Apparently this is a very typical Lisa face. She’s trying to decide what to order for lunch. As I recall, she ended up ordering the tastiest thing on the menu.

And this is Ian (not to be confused with another Ian who was also a groomsmen….)


After our delicious lunch we had to go to Cold Stone Creamery, right?

Thus ends my odyssey of a day; hangin’ with Miss Lisa……..
