This is a matted album which means that the photographs are on a page with a mat. The page can have one or multiple images but each image is separate and discrete from every other image on the page. The photograph is mounted onto a “liner” which looks like a border. The liner can be black, white, gray, silver, or gold. The mat actually surrounds the photograph mounted onto the liner. The mats come in black, white, gray, and cream. This album is permanently bound and neither the photographs nor the mats “slip-in” to fit inside the page. The pages of this American Classic are bound using archival tape that’s the same color as the mat. The edges of the pages can be gilded (like a Bible) in silver, gold, or black.
