While in San Francisco I visited with another friend who’s a classmate from Spelman College. Spending time with Bev was like hanging out, talking until the wee hours in our freshman dorm! We managed to go to lots of cool, off-the-beaten path spots. We started out in Napa County and then came in to San Francisco and lastly Berkley. These are my favorite Bay area things:
Morris and Michelle’s church–Liberty Christian Center in Fairfield
The really high vantage point for seeing the Golden Gate Bridge (near The Marin Headlands)
The scented body oils from Body Time–I was running low and HAD to get to this place (Pikake is my absolute favorite!)
Skates on The Bay restaurant– in Berkley, delish seafood, great views right on the Bay, nice ambiance. (Beverly had once met the Sous Chef Mike, and he happened to be around that night!)
Straits Restaurant–downtown San Francisco, totally yummy, flavorful Malasian fare with amazing decor
For any interested techies, I used my Lens Baby for almost all of these images.
